
This hand-built tea bowl is coated with white slip, accented with iron glaze, and finished in a wood kiln. Katsumi Kako notes that the most defining and most challenging part to make is the leg, shown in the photo, as it has to harmonise with the overall form. “Over-thinking,” he says, “never does it justice.”
