Silver-coloured tea bowl
This hand-built tea bowl is first fired with an ash glaze, then coated with silver and fired again. Katsumi Kako is particularly drawn to silver as a material, as over time, the colour softens and deepens, and the growing patina adds to the piece’s original beauty.
