This piece is a meticulously crafted textile artwork created through the combination of multiple hand embroidery techniques. Cast-on stitches have been thoughtfully employed to mimic the layered texture of feathers on a bird’s wing, while French knots are used to capture the colourful, dotted patterns found on the heads of octopus figures. The composition unfolds within an entirely imagined and fantastical world, designed to be both unique and immersive.
