This intricately embroidered garment, known as camisa de crioula or camisú, is traditionally worn by women within Candomblé terreiros, sacred Afro-Brazilian spiritual spaces. Carlos Vinicius crafted this piece using hemp fabric, known as tecido canhamo, and white thread.
