©Hiroshi ToyofukuShizen-nerikomi dark blue flower vessel
This Bizen ware flower vessel has a dark blue-black colour and a heavy structure made of several joined parts. The surface has a rough, natural feel, like unrefined clay. It was fired in a wood kiln, and melted ash created a natural glaze on the surface.
