Schomburgks Pracht

This one-of-a-kind analogue collage artwork is created using mixed media techniques on paper. It features vintage paper, ephemera, silver metal wire, black silk thread, and stamp ink. The composition combines a vintage black-and-white illustration of a sea lily with paper fragments and an image of an architectural palace. The piece pays tribute to the botanist Richard Schomburgk, who discovered the magnificent Victoria water lily in British Guiana in 1840 and named it after Queen Victoria, the reigning monarch of the era.
