This brooch is made from wood, bent using steam heating and moulding techniques to form an oval shape that represents a frame. The central part is made of the seaweed called Durvillaea antarctica, which has been cut and shaped through a dehydration process. This piece is primarily worked with taxidermy and conservation techniques to ensure durability and preservation.
