First glimpse of fall

Carl Fox’s series called The forest bathers is made with traditional marquetry and parquetry techniques to explore our relationship with the natural world and Carl’s experiences with his own mental health. He explores how memories of time and place can be triggered by colour and texture alone. This work uses elements of pareidolia within the selection of wood, to tempt the viewer to see the unseen.
