Untitled wall hanging

This piece was created as part of a project celebrating the Mediterranean and its craftsmanship. It was woven on a horizontal loom, which is primarily used by men in Morocco due to being physically demanding, while women typically weave on vertical looms. The innovation lies in using the loom to create a warp of threads that maintains strong tension, allowing it to function like an embroidery loom but without a fabric backing. The challenge was to create an embroidered piece incorporating elements gathered from nature, cut-out newspaper snippets, and inlays of various scraps of fabric.
