Two teapots, Fluid series

These two functional teapots have undulating high handles that enable the piece to be held from above. The spouts are curved away from the handles. The lids sit in a cavity or flange to prevent them falling out when pouring. The decoration is a fluid layer of cream coloured liquid clay slip with various finger-mark lines drawn through the wet surface to reveal an indigo coloured background with break-through areas of exposed terracotta-red clay. The surface is finished in semi-gloss transparent glaze.
