Sprout, Wither, Grow

These two sculptures are made from porcelain casts of Camilla Hanney’s own hands. The insects were hand-crafted and attached while the clay was still wet. The fingernails and worm were painted with pink underglaze and a pearlescent lustre was applied later. Gold lustre was applied to the insects on the right hand.
