Who’s the virus vs Coral Bleaching?
This piece, made of paper clay on earthenware, recalls the face masks used all over the world during the coronavirus pandemic. The ceramicist has artistically manipulated a face mask by modelling corals with shiny glazes that end in white. With this symbolic work, Luis wants to represent the critical problem of coral bleaching in reef ecosystems, combining his memory of the pandemic with his fight for the environment.
