This is a series of spun porcelain vessels with black split layers. The Day & Night series is purely black and white and casts the progress of light across a day and the lunar phase. This sequence demonstrates the progression from light to shadow, by increasing the proportion of the pigment separated by the curvature of a line across the vessel.
