Bluek1701

Roger never starts one of his pieces knowing what it will look like, instead making each decision as the piece grows. This bright blue sculpture has been constructed from several moulded and slip cast stoneware pieces. The final bright blue is given by coloured slip. It is difficult for Roger to know when one of his pieces is finished, but this generally comes when he finds a coherence between form, scale, empty spaces and gesture.
