The Livingstone Desk Globe is based on the traditional Philips globe from the early 20th century. This classically designed globe spins on an axis and features a contemporary map. The wooden base was hand-turned on a lathe and connected to the globe with brass pieces hand cast in a Derbyshire foundry. Each country is shaded according to the size of its population.
