This handbuilt stoneware vessel was coloured with a platinum matt glaze and fires at 1220°C. The vessel forms part of Ute Beck's GLOSS & GLITTER in which she explores notions of abundance, opulence and decadence associated with a baroque attitude to life. The surfaces show concave indents, folds and crater-like indentations contrasting with certain formal elements taken directly from Baroque sculptures.
