Giardino Fiorito

The idea for this carpet was born from the evolution of the typical design to Samugheo textile tradition called Blooming Bird. In collaboration with designer Caterina Quartana, master weaver Mariantonia Urru revisits this traditional design with a modern version. To bring the idea to life, the design of a traditional saddlebag was combined with the carpet. This duality evokes that of Sardinian culture, where work and home “were the main aims of every man and woman building their own future and their family.”
