Embla Sigurgeirsdóttir creates these white vases from porcelain, decorating the surface with light touches of dark glaze. She works the finished form, carving into it to accentuate the translucent nature of the porcelain. The design is inspired by the rugged elements of Icelandic nature, conveying the strong contrasts between light and dark during the shifting seasons.
