Atrium

This Atrium sculpture is made from a solid block of stoneware clay. The inside shape is hollowed out using various knives and scrapers. Afterwards the outside shape is cut with a thin wire cutter. The piece is glazed with grey glaze on the outside and a light green glaze on the inside and fired in a gas kiln at 1280°C.
