This handwoven tapestry of a tree was crafted on a vertical loom. Patrizia Polese freely interprets and ancient technique to create a careful balance between empty and full spaces from Japanese inspiration. The play of shadows between the threads of the free warp creates very engaging three-dimensional effects. The materials are personally dyed by the Patrizia who assembles the yarns like a painter.
