Blue tree

This handwoven tapestry was crafted on a vertical loom. Patrizia Polese freely interprets an ancient technique creating a careful balance between empty and full spaces from Japanese inspiration. The play of shadows between the threads of the free warp creates very engaging and three-dimensional effects. The materials are personally dyed by Patrizia who assembles the yarns like a painter.
