Never Again

Never Again is a sculpture composed of approximately 80 book-like forms, each cut from freshly harvested Pacific madrone wood. As the wood dries, it naturally warps and shifts, giving the books a worn, weathered appearance. Christian intended this piece as a reminder of the dangers of intolerance and censorship, in reference to the Nazi book burnings and as a response to the banning of books in places like Florida and Texas.
