Playing with Gold

This round shaped bowl on a small foot was made from walnut wood that had a lot of sapwood. It was stained with turquoise blue and white pigments, that allow the wooden base to shine through. In contrast with the blue and white hues are the golden rim and foot, that add a bit of festivity to the look.
