Maternal sheep

This is a small-scale decorative sculptural object. The set consists of two separate pieces that formally approximate semicircular arches. The mother sheep wraps as in an embrace to her lamb. The piece is made of carved and assembled wood. The wool body is made of kneaded felt that wraps around the wood. The object has the natural colour of the materials used and is part of the Paisajes Rurales (Rural landscapes) series that celebrates the animals that characterise Uruguayan rural folklore.
