Woodcarving atelier tour in Anjou

Antonin Martineau offers a visit to his workshop for a unique insight into the art of woodcarving. Specialising in human and animal statuary, he will show you his artistic world and inspiration. The one-hour visit includes a presentation of the different techniques he uses to carve wood, notably to produce the folding effects of fabrics or the characteristic expressions of his figures. It will also be an opportunity to see his collection of sculptures on display and learn about the making of them. The visit can be extended to include a stopover at the workshop of his partner who specialises in porcelain casting.
