Over three days, in her atelier in Aix-en-Provence, Agnès Klefstad invites you to discover the art of woodworking. Intended for beginners, this course is designed to familiarise you with the basics of the craft. You will learn about the gestures and postures to adopt to work safely, experiment working with gouges through practical exercises, and gain an insight into sharpening tools. For Agnès, “wood is a living, complex material that needs to be tamed and understood.” The workshop takes place in small groups of 3-4 people over three days, with about 6 hours of tuition each day.

Agnès Klefstad also offers a woodworking class for more advanced students. This three-day course is entirely tailored to your level of experience in the craft. You will have the chance to review the fundamentals of woodworking or take things a step further and discover new working methods. You will be able, for example, to create a sculpture: study a piece of wood and its potential, identify the appropriate technique, make a drawing, through to the finishing touches. Agnès will take care to accompany you every step of the way. Please note that this workshop is divided into three sessions each lasting six hours. and the course costs 380 EUR per person.
