In the Heart of Kallio, the ceramic Master Eva Spoof will take you on a fun journey of learning ceramics made out of local red clay. During this 2 hour workshop, you will learn the basics of pottery and get the chance to experience wheel throwing technique on the pottery wheel. It takes patience to learn throwing on a pottery wheel, but Eva is there to guide you throughout the process of creating your flowerpot in a relaxing atmosphere. You will be using Kultela wild clay, and she will trim, finish, and fire them for you. All tools and materials are included in the price. It is advisable to wear clothes that can stain during this course. This course must be booked in advance.

There is a vibrant pottery studio in Helsinki's hip neighbourhood where the ceramic artist will take you on a magical journey of creating your very own wild clay flowerpots. During this private course, the Master will teach you the basics of the pottery wheel and throwing. The course price covers up to 6kg of clay, tools and firing of 2 pieces each. After the course, flowerpots are ready to be picked up in a month and can also be sent to you. This unique souvenir gives you the opportunity to plant into your very own flowerpots that have great memories and emotional value linked to them. Please wear clothes and shoes that can be stained by the iron-rich wild clay. Tie back long hair and be aware that long nails can cause accidents when working on your piece.
