Plant dyeing workshop in Vilnius

with Raminta Berzanskyté

Immerse yourself in the magic of colour

In this workshop you will be introduced with the process of plant dyeing using both local and exotic dyes and pigments. Natural pigments include a great variety of colours: from bright ones to thousands of subtle tones. Plant dyeing has been developing for millenniums and has gained great interest in today’s world, where environmental problems are of high importance. You will learn to dye woollen yarn or fabric with various plant dyes: you will use Cochineal, roots of various trees, indigo and other plants with which you can extract the desired colours. Dried dyed yarn or fabric can be shipped to your desired address at an additional cost. The price range between 100 to 200 euros per group depending on the number of participants.
