Architect-turned-ceramicist Martina Geroni invites you to join a hands-on kurinuki workshop and immerse yourself in the ancient Japanese art of carving clay. Kurinuki is a traditional technique where a single block of clay is carefully chiselled, hollowed and sculpted to create unique pottery. In this 2.5-hour session, you will craft a chawan (matcha tea bowl) and a yunomi (Japanese tea cup), perfect for enjoying your favourite teas. The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with an interest in mindful, tactile making. All tools and materials are provided, and the session takes place at Martina’s studio in small groups of four to eight participants. Your finished pieces will be kiln-fired and ready for collection from the workshop within one month, but delivery can also be arranged upon request. As spaces are limited, be sure to book your spot at least 24 hours in advance via Martina's website. The course costs 45 EUR per person.
