Individual weekly ceramic classes in Rome

with Riccardo Monachesi

Gain an aptitude for clay

In his studio on the Roman Aventino hill, Riccardo Monachesi offers private ceramic classes for students of every level. The student will first gain familiarity with the material by starting to manipulate a ball of clay using specific tools, such as a table lathe. Then, the student will tackle ceramic slabs, mould in plaster casts and use the colombino technique, which consists of sticking small ceramic cords together. The course’s duration is minimum one month and depends on the student’s needs. A second student can join the classes by special arrangement. All materials and tools are included in the price.
