Couture hat-maker Berry Rutjes invites you to experience the art and craft of couture hat making. During this course, participants will be taught traditional hat-making techniques to craft two fashionable hats of their own: a summer and a winter hat. Berry will offer her expert advice on colour, shape and size and will discuss a wide range of materials. Another important aspect of hat-design is the decoration which should complement the participant’s designs. Participants can make use of Berry’s wooden moulds, materials and accessories and at the end of the experience, you go home with two hand-made hats to cherish, made by you.
