Each of Ana Lamata’s hats is unique, all made to measure and designed to endure time. Ana’s goal is to convey her passion for the craft when making and teaching how to make a custom hat. She gathers and shares stories, including the wearer’s one, so that the resulting hats may become heirloom hats. The two day workshop allows participants to create an heirloom hat from scratch, using classic hatmaking tools and techniques, as well as the best materials available.

To enhance the experience and the process of making a hat completely by hand, Ana Lamata holds individual workshops, which last two days. During this time, Ana goes through the whole process of making a custom hat, from taking measurements, selecting materials, blocking and pressing, to making the lining and the finishing details. Ana likes to gather and share stories, including the student’s one.
