Guided tour and demonstration in paper weaving

Paper sculptor trained in applied arts Ilann Vogt is one of the few artisans to interlace paper cutting with weaving. In this guided tour, Ilann will demonstrate his latest paper weaving works, including sculptures and wall hangings, and will demonstrate his most used weaving technique – book weaving. Taking clippings from the literary works of authors, such as Vladimir Nabokov, Virginia Woolf and Isidore Ducasse, Ilann weaves them into three-dimensional pieces that hint at the books’ subjects. Ilann received the Luxembourg Art Prize, as well as the prize for young artistic creation. After the tour, visitors will be offered refreshments.
