Glass melting course near Pavia

This is a beginners’ course in the fundamental techniques of artistic glass melting. Participants are taught the basic theory behind using a glass melting furnace and techniques for the creation of small pieces in molten glass (tiles and objects). The techniques include hot bonding, folding and full melting. Participants will understand how to recognise compatible glass and non-compatible glass and will familiarise themselves with the materials used for moulds, assembling and melting curves. The course is for individual participants and stretches over three days, to be agreed upon with the master glassmaker. The price includes all materials.
