Ceramic sculpture course in London

with Tessa Eastman

Hone your skills in ceramics

Tessa Eastman believes it is essential for ceramicists to pass on their skills to others. This course, at The Heatherley School of Art, London, lasts 12 Saturdays and will help students acquire new skills in contemporary ceramic practice, including hand building, casting, colour work and firing. Beginners are introduced to varied methods of using clay while more experienced students have the opportunity to build upon their skills and progress to wheel throwing and pulling handles. Students will be encouraged to draw and gather visual information in sketchbooks. Teaching will be through small groups and one-to-one tuition. All materials are provided but please bring an apron. The course is held from 10am to 4pm with an hour break for lunch.
