Bookbinding workshop in London

The 'blizzard book' is one of the most well known and well loved book structures of Hedi Kyle, who is known as the master of folded structures. Her background is in book conservation, so many of her structures are glueless and designed to act as supports for other materials – thus making them useful to adapt for object collections, recipes, business cards, postcards and other ephemera. In this course, Italian-born contemporary bookbinder Manuel Mazzotti will teach you how to transform a sheet of paper into a book using only a bone folder and ingenious folding techniques. All the materials will be provided and no previous bookbinding experience is required. Workshops vary in length and price – inquire for details.
