Band weaving for beginners in Vilnius

Artist and weaver Vladas Daškevičius, who comes from a long line of weavers, will help you to bring your ideas to life: under his guidance, you will learn to create a pattern, prepare the loom for weaving, choose threads of your desired colours and weave a jacquard rug. The pattern for your rug can be designed and agreed upon with the workshop leader in advance via email. You will discover that textile design has a lot in common with computer programming. Over several days, you will experience the pleasure of weaving, immerse yourself in the meditation of repetitive movements of weaving and eventually leave with a unique rug or runner of your own making.
