Ancient woollen mill visit in County Kerry

with Kerry Woollen Mills

A mill that is a living museum

The 17th-century Kerry Woollen Mills is situated on Ireland’s Atlantic coastline. The company has been creating fabrics and yarn from fine wool for over 300 years. The mill is one of the last surviving traditional woollen mills still manufacturing in the beautiful Kerry countryside. On a tour of the Mill, you will learn about the history of this unique part of Irish craft heritage, see the workshop in action and watch our skilled workers spin and weave, discover the many processes that our yarns and fabrics go through to transform them from fleece to a finished product, and leave with a greater appreciation for authentic handmade products. Please book in advance. The tour times are at 10.00 am, 12.00 noon and 2.00 PM.
