Visit a woollen mill in County Kilkenny

with Cushendale Woollen Mills

From fleece to fabric

A visit to Cushendale Woollen Mill will take you back in time. The historic woollen mill in Co. Kilkenny is built on the site where Cistercian monks first established a mill in 1204. For six generations the Cushen family has produced the highest quality Irish textiles “from fleece to fabric”. The mill continues to use the pure waters from the 1204 millrace and retains heritage processes to produce natural fibre products in Irish wool, lambswool and mohair of distinctive colour and exceptional quality. Since this is a working mill, a visit is possible if prearranged in advance and may need to accommodate production schedules.
