At Carmen Muñoz Hand Painted atelier participants can learn the basics of the centuries-old ceramic craft. Gabriela and Carmen have designed a course to teach students the techniques of preparing and modelling clay to produce pots, cups, plates and sculptural works, how to produce the pieces by hand using moulds or the potter's wheel, and how to fire them in the kiln at different temperatures. They will also explore decoration and glazing techniques using glazes, engobes and oxides. At the end of the course, participants will be encouraged to make a series of ceramic pieces in their own working style. The course consists of a weekly class that is three hours long.
