After studying at the National Institute of Art in Padova, Monica Perin attended the school of ceramics in Cadoneghe, a famous centre of excellence, where she learned, and then taught, different techniques for working clay. Modelling and painting clay, in her opinion, gives a sense of freedom, and the result of her process always amazes and surprises. With time, her artworks have become more and more abstract, each piece born from a feeling. Monica believes in Dostoyevsky's quote that “Beauty will save the world.” For the same reason, she loves Giotto and Michelangelo and their unique way of representing beauty and harmony in a sublime way.
