Nardi Lunetier is the story of two brothers, two personalities, two different backgrounds united by the same passion: eyewear. A fascination that brought Silvio and Fabio Leonardi together in a project merging meticulousness, devotion and enthusiasm. In their Lausanne workshop, which opened in 2021, the Leonardi brothers create timeless and avant-garde designs. They like to give each customer a unique experience, allowing them to discover the different materials and witness the stages of production. “In establishing this eyewear making concept in Switzerland, we want to offer a more ethical and ecological approach, limiting overproduction and controlling the origin and processing of our raw materials. Each pair of glasses is made on demand from buffalo horn or cellulose acetate from organic cotton fibres.”

INTERVIEW
I was frustrated by the limits imposed by eyewear manufacturers. Often disappointed not to find the perfect model, the idea of creating a brand of custom-made glasses started to take shape in my mind.
I have always been interested in professions where creativity and craftsmanship are omnipresent. For many years I had the chance to work in prestigious watchmaking factories in Switzerland.
Most people are more and more sensitive to ecology and the way their objects (including glasses) are made. By offering a bespoke service, we are targeting clients who want a level of perfection that industrial machines cannot achieve.
We work in a field where creativity has almost no limits. Sharing, advising and exchanging with our clients makes our work wonderful. The most satisfying thing is seeing a customer happy wearing a pair of Nardi glasses.
