Founded in 2022 by Matteo Silverio and Marta Donà, Rehub is a start-up company that combines Murano's renowned glassmaking heritage with cutting-edge innovation. Through a revolutionary, patent-pending process, glass waste is transformed into a novel material called revéro, a versatile paste that can be manipulated at room temperature, minimising energy consumption and environmental impact. The innovative paste readily takes shape through standard industrial techniques like rolling, moulding and injection. In addition, the Rehub team's proprietary extruder technology enables precise 3D printing with the material.
Rehub works with a variety of clients, guiding them from initial design to final production, and for particularly complex projects, the start-up engages additional expert craftspeople. The atelier collaborates with a network of local glassmakers, acquiring their glass by-products to transform otherwise unusable waste into valuable resources. In this way, the glassmakers feed into the circularity of Rehub's innovative technology.
