Walls with presence and personality
Italian wall art studio Gouache was founded in 2001 by Alice Guazzo. Over the past 25 years, the studio has worked to bring the world of interior decoration into the present, updating designs, materials and techniques to modernise this ancient art and bring it closer to contemporary tastes. With a style that aligns more with street art and illustration than classical decoration, Gouache has created a creative visual universe that brings its joyful and immersive painted style to offices, restaurants, hotels and private homes all over the world.
The collective vision behind Ferrosae brings together the experience of the three studios, as they explored the design possibilities of working with an ancient material. Iron often presents itself through a burnished, at times austere surface, yet its imperfections reveal a quietness that invites a more sensitive reading. Through a long process of research and design, Molo Lab, with the technical support of Costa Curvati, shaped and softened the forms of the iron crafted by AlgrantiLAB. Gouache’s intervention then unveiled the more delicate and poetic dimension of the surface, revealing feminine and romantic qualities within the material.
