The reflective power of silver

The artistic work of De Vecchi Milano 1935 embodies artisanal skills, experimentation and innovation in silver work. It is a family story that began in 1935 with the founder, Piero – a sculptor and engraver – and his son Gabriele, who took up the baton. In De Vecchi Milano 1935’s philosophy, silver is not merely a material, but the medium to represent reality, reflected in the object as though in a mirror. The name has always been associated with design and art, thanks to prestigious collaborations with Gio Ponti, Caccia Dominioni and Tom Dixon, among others, and participations in the Milan Triennale.

De Vecchi Milano 1935’s objects stand the test of time with a sense of lightness and originality. The effect of light reflected off surfaces creates a unique connection with the viewer. Candlesticks, jugs and vessels are acknowledged as icons of design and fine craftsmanship, featured in prestigious museums and institutions, in Italy and abroad. In 2010, De Vecchi Milano 1935 was acquired by Vhernier, part of the Richemont Group, and is currently undergoing a relaunch whilst remaining true to its vision and handcrafting techniques.
