Tour a leather workshop in Uruguay

with Luis Alberto Gutiérrez

Discover symbolisms and materials of Uruguay

Workshop AESCALA invites visitors to go on a journey to see the characters, traditions and materials of Uruguay. Visitors will start with the series Our Quijotes, or Gauchos, folk icons of the Uruguayan countryside. Visitors will then be taken to the series called Immigrants to see customs brought to Uruguay, and finally to Carnival, Our Wildlife and Sculptures. All creations within the series are made using different types of leather, a noble and distinctive material of Uruguay. The visit also includes demonstrations and a possibility to experiment with materials while enjoying a conversation and a cup of coffee.
