These jars by Jong Young Kim were formed from porcelain by joining two hemispheres. After firing, dragons were painted onto their surfaces using blue pigment. Paying homage to the large moon jar, a traditional form of Joseon white porcelain, the pieces inherit its formal language while reinterpreting it through painterly design.
