Named after its founder, Alexandra Llewellyn creates handcrafted backgammon sets, games and custom made games tables. Alexandra’s passion for beautiful games started in Cairo as a child, when she used to play backgammon with wise old men. It is a passion that has taken her all over the world, from Afghanistan and Azerbaijan to Miami and the Caribbean. Originally she trained as a fine artist, before working in product development for a charity, which gave her the confidence to launch her own atelier in London in 2010.

Alexandra works with a team of British master craftspeople who each specialises in different techniques and materials – marquetry, woods, leathers, printing, handpainting, semi-precious stones and engraving. Alexandra oversees each bespoke commission from conception to creation and she is always interested in developing new techniques.
