When materials inspire alignment

Since 2021, Lea Colombo has been creating both artistic sculptures and functional design pieces charged with positivity and light. She sources materials believed to hold energetic and healing properties, such as sodalite and red jasper, from the vast landscapes of Namibia and South Africa. Lea is interested in the energy that is held in objects and the bio-geometry of shapes that can bring harmony to viewers. "My work is inspired by the intricate interplay of colour, light, shape and form. My creative process is about leaning into the mystery that surrounds us and engaging with reality from a new perspective," she explains.

In all of her pieces, Lea seeks to create experiences that urge her viewers to reconnect with themselves, engage their imaginations, celebrate their individual identities and experience a sense of joy. Her practice explores the many layers of both the self and the world around us, opening new dimensions of understanding and amplifying the inner voice that can so easily become quietened by the pace of contemporary life.
