This work is part of the expanded fragment series. It is a work that embodies the characteristics of both sculpture and object, created by layering pieces of fabric to form a structure. This piece is made by physically combining multiple small fragments to construct a solid artefact. The form of the work features geometric cross-sections, with the stacked fabric pieces creating a texture that seems to represent layers of time. The primary colour features various shades of blue, with the original colour of the denim blending with the faded fabric to create a deep blue tone. Overall, the piece emphasises a natural flow of colour and texture.
